Demand a return to job security
The previous Federal Government stripped job security conditions from Collective Agreements, weakening procedures for redundancy, discipline and termination of employment, and removing long-standing restrictions on the exploitative use of fixed term contracts.
This resulted in growing concern amongst NTEU members about their security of employment (28% of the 5000 respondents to NTEU’s national survey rated job security as their biggest concern)
Collective bargaining is our opportunity to regain these conditions.
